Leo Lesperance and his family who leave their old life in Montreal behind in search of their place in the sun. The object of Leo's grand passion is a modest twelve-room motel located in the heart of Hollywood Beach, Florida. Leo's pursuit of his dream sets off problems with his teenage son Cyril, his twenty-year-old daughter Carmen, and his passionate wife Ginette. Soon Leo has to battle to save his motel from his fellow Quebecois motel owners. As his problems escalate, Leo becomes remote, alienating his family.
